LIFE Journey Ministries

Statement of Faith
We believe the Bible to be the only inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God in the original text and is the standard of faith, practice and daily living. (John 1:1; II Timothy 3:16‑17).
We believe that there is one omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent God. (Revelation 22:13, Psalm 139:1-18, Jeremiah 23:24).
We believe that God is eternally existent in three persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1-3; Matthew 28:19; 1 Corinthians 12:4-6; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Hebrews 13:8).
We believe that the universe originated by the creative act of God as revealed in Holy Scripture. (Genesis 1:1; John 1:1‑4).
We believe in the deity and humanity of our Lord Jesus Christ, God manifested in the flesh through His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His bloodshed death, bodily resurrection and ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His visible return in power and glory. (Isaiah 7:14; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Colossians 1:13‑20; Acts 2:24,32-33, Matthew 24:30-31, Revelation 19:11-16).
We believe that all human beings were created in the image of Christ and because of the fall of man, all humanity became lost and sinful, and that salvation is received by the grace of God solely through personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. (Genesis 1:27; John 3:16 and 14:6; Romans 3:23‑26 and 5:12-19; Ephesians 2:8).
We believe that upon the acceptance of Christ, as Lord and Savior, that the believer has been reborn and made new, that physical death has been overcome by Christ and that we will experience the resurrection of eternal life in Heaven and for those that choose to reject Christ, as Lord and Savior, are also choosing to receive eternal separation from Christ in Hell. (John 3:3; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Galatians 2:20; 1 Corinthians 15:55-57; John 3:16; Matthew 25:46; 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9).
We believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling enables the believer to live a godly life. (John 14:16-17; Acts 2:1-4; Titus 3:5; Romans 8:9-11; Galatians 5:16,25).
We believe that the Holy Spirit has the following gifts to bestow upon believers as He, the Holy Spirit wills for service in the body of Christ; wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, discernment of spirits, speaking in tongues, interpretation of tongues; and that the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness and self-control, should be cultivated so as to assist us in living spiritually free and encouraged so as to serve one another in love. (1 Corinthians 12:1-14; Galatians 5:16-26).
We believe we have a great commission, to spread the gospel of truth and to follow in the example set before us by Jesus Christ; humbly serving and treating people with love, dignity and respect. (Matthew 28:18-20 and 22:37-39; Philippians 2:1-4; Romans 12:20-21; Galatians 6:10).
